Job Description

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Biomedical Engineer to join our team. As a Biomedical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and maintenance of medical equipment and devices. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and healthcare professionals to improve patient care and contribute to the advancement of medical technology.

Responsibilities:
·         Design and develop medical equipment: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop innovative medical devices and equipment, ensuring they meet regulatory and safety standards. This includes conducting research, creating prototypes, performing testing, and refining designs based on feedback.
·         Perform system analysis and troubleshooting: Evaluate the performance of existing medical equipment and devices, identify issues, and propose and implement solutions. Conduct root cause analysis to resolve technical problems and optimize device functionality.
·         Ensure compliance with regulations: Stay up-to-date with relevant regulatory standards, such as FDA guidelines, and ensure that all medical equipment and devices meet the necessary requirements. Assist in preparing documentation and submissions for regulatory approvals.
·         Collaborate with healthcare professionals: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to understand their needs and gather feedback on medical devices. Incorporate user feedback into the design and development process to improve device usability and functionality.
Conduct testing and validation: Develop and execute test plans to evaluate the performance, safety, and efficacy of medical devices. Analyze test data, prepare reports, and ·         make recommendations for improvements based on the results.
·         Provide technical support: Assist healthcare professionals in the proper use and maintenance of medical equipment. Troubleshoot issues, provide training, and offer technical expertise to ensure the safe and effective use of devices.
·         Stay informed about emerging technologies: Keep abreast of advancements in the field of biomedical engineering, including new technologies, research findings, and industry trends. Evaluate their potential applications and propose innovative solutions for healthcare challenges.
Requirements:
·         Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
·         Solid understanding of biomedical engineering principles, medical device regulations, and healthcare standards.
·         Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools.
·         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
·         Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
·         Knowledge of statistical analysis and data interpretation.
·         Familiarity with medical imaging, biomaterials, signal processing, and/or bioinstrumentation is desirable.
